Moissanite Engagement Ring, Rose Gold Wheat

A gorgeous, ethical moissanite is set into this engagement ring in 14k rose gold. The braided wheat style is a simple yet unique detail in the band. Each engagement ring is handmade in my NYC studio from recycled 14k rose gold. I hand carved this bezel and had it cast into recycled 14k rose gold. Then I soldered it to my wheat braid wedding band for a simple yet stunning engagement ring. The band is 2mm wide. We set a 5mm round Forever One moissanite gemstone, even more sparkly than a diamond, into it and give it a bright polish to finish it up.

This is a unique, artisan made ring and nothing about it is mass-produced. I love creating work that has deep meaning. My Wheat rings symbolize hearth and home, affection, love and prosperity. A great way to start off a significant relationship and my wish for you.

Moissanite is a lab created gemstone that is completely conflict-free and a great alternative to diamonds. Moissanite is near colorless, it is rated a 9.25 out of 10 on the MOHS scale of hardness and it is more brilliant than a diamond which means you can see the sparkle from across the room.

Available by special order in sizes 5-9 and will take 4 weeks to make by hand for you. Please select your finger size from the drop down menu.

It reminds me of wheat and the story of The Little Prince, by Antoine de Saint Exupery. Specifically the part about taming the fox.

When the fox meets the Prince they are strangers, and the fox asks the Little Prince to tame him. He says, “The wheat fields have nothing to say to me. And that is sad. But you have hair that is the color of gold. Think how wonderful that will be when you have tamed me! The grain, which is also golden, will bring me back to the thought of you. And I shall love to listen to the wheat in the wind.”

“It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.” -Antoine de Saint Exupery
