This beautiful birthstone ring has a wheat braided pattern and is cast into recycled sterling silver. It's totally unique and handcrafted in our NYC studio. We bezel set Imitation Emerald in this perfectly sweet ring. The we oxidize it to bring out the details and give it a soft polish. The result is unique and modern with a vintage feel. This is one of my favorite rings for it's simplicity and special meaning. It reminds me of wheat and the story of The Little Prince, by Antoine de Saint Exupery. Specifically the part about taming the fox. When the fox meets the Prince they are strangers, and the fox asks the Little Prince to tame him.
He says, "The wheat fields have nothing to say to me. And that is sad. But you have hair that is the color of gold. Think how wonderful that will be when you have tamed me! The grain, which is also golden, will bring me back to the thought of you.
