This Velociraptor claw necklace was cast in solid sterling silver from a replica of an original velociraptor's fossil claw. Velociraptors are also known as Deinonychus. I then oxidize it to bring out the details and give it a soft finish. The name Velociraptor means "speedy thief" in Greek. This necklace makes a great gift for non binary friends, mens gifts or gift for boyfriend.
The Velociraptor lived in a desert like environment. Velociraptor had four claws on each foot. The second claw – the innermost of the three main claws – was the key adaptation that enabled Velociraptor to become such an effective hunter. It was an enlarged, sickle-shaped, razor-sharp weapon.
The claw is 2.5" in length from the top of the bail to the bottom of the tooth, it's 3/4" wide at the widest part at the top.
It's slides along a 22" sterling curb chain.
