Ordering Information

Each piece of Metalicious Jewelry is made by hand in my studio and individually packaged in a gift box.

Please allow 3-4 weeks for delivery of your order. If you need your order sooner, please contact us before you order and we will do our best to accommodate you.  

Please keep in mind all jewelry is handmade, not machined. Each piece may have a slight variation from what is pictured.

We create high-quality handmade jewelry, not mass manufactured or machined pieces (nothing wrong with that, just not the kind of work we do). We hope you love your jewelry as much as we loved creating it for you.

Payment

Payment is due in full at the time your order is placed. Payment is accepted through Paypal only, you do not need to create an account on Paypal in order to use your credit card. Please let me know if you have any issues. NOTE: All orders shipped within New York State will be charged tax.

Shipping

US customers: Free shipping is via USPS and can take up to 2 weeks for US delivery (in addition to 3-4 week production time). USPS Priority takes 1-2 business days. Fedex is for overnight delivery. All jewelry is shipped with signature confirmation which means you must be at the address to receive the package yourself. If you’d prefer not to have signature confirmation, please contact us before you order.

INT’L customers: Free shipping is via USPS and can take up to 6 weeks for INT’L delivery (in addition to 3-4 week production time). USPS Priority has tracking information and can take 1-2 weeks and Fedex can take 3-7 days.

If you would like to add insurance please contact us for pricing. Please let us know if you need to make special arrangements for your package before you order.

Please let me know if your purchase is a gift.  If you tell me what to write I will include a note to the recipient and leave out the invoice.

Returns

In-stock necklaces and earrings are returnable within 14 days of receipt for a full refund minus the shipping cost. The jewelry must be in new condition and returned in the original packaging. Please contact us before you send your return. 

Rings and any other special orders are not returnable. Re-sizing on any ring starts at $50 plus shipping, please contact us for how to set that up and we’ll be happy to help.

Ring Orders

Since we make each ring to order, we cannot accept returns. Your best bet is to be sized by a jeweler as finger sizes tend to fluctuate with time, weather, water retention, etc, or to purchase our ring sizer. Feel free to contact us with any questions.

Special Orders

Because our jewelry is handmade, we can usually accommodate special orders. Please contact us if you are interested in a metal that is not pictured, a necklace in a custom length, etc. Special orders are not returnable.

Care Instructions

We suggest that you keep your jewelry in a clean, dry place such as a fabric-lined jewelry box or wrapped in a soft piece of cloth. Store pieces individually so they do not scratch one another and keep away from direct exposure to sunlight and air.
Avoid bringing jewelry into contact with perfume, hairspray or harsh chemicals such as bleach or chlorine. It is best to put jewelry on last while getting dressed and to remove while washing hands, performing housework, swimming, or engaging in other strenuous activity. It’s not recommended to wear your gemstone jewelry around heat (stoves, ovens, saunas, etc) as it can permanently damage your gemstones.

Over time, silver, and to a lesser extent, gold, will tarnish with exposure to air, chemicals, and oils in the skin. Pieces are best cleaned using a soft cotton cloth or felt with mild, non-abrasive soap and warm water. Be very careful not to dislodge any stones or wires. Rinse pieces thoroughly and allow to air dry completely before storing. For best results, clean pieces periodically and handle with care. Over time satin finished jewelry burnishes with wear. It can be re-matted by rubbing with a paste of baking soda and water, or gently brushing with a green 3M scrub pad. Do not scrub stones! Blackened silver gradually fades with wear and acquires a patina that reflects the natural oils of it’s wearer. While many people appreciate the unique patina, I can re-oxidize your piece for the cost of shipping.

Note: Do not use tissue paper or paper towels for cleaning, as their fibers can result in scratching. Do not use commercial cleaners on your jewelry. Use soap and water and a soft cloth.

Repairs

All my items are made to withstand general wear.  However if a piece is in need of repair based on normal wear we will be happy to repair it within 3 months from when it was shipped out.  Metalicious is not responsible for tangled chains. We would be happy to replace a tangled chain for a fee, contact us for more details.

We can re-size most rings for a fee, please note that rings where the pattern goes all the way around the band there will be a break in the pattern. Contact us if you need re-sizing.
